Wilma Rudolph was the 20th of 22 children. She was born prematurely and her survival was doubtful. At age 9, she removed the metal leg brace she had been dependent on and began to walk without it. By 13 she had developed a rythmic walk, which doctors said was a miracle. That same year she decided to become a runner. She entered a race and came in last. For the next few years every race she entered, she came last. Everyone told her to quit, but she kept on running. One day she actually won a race. And then another. From then on she won every race she entered. Trust God not partially but completely with every part of you and He will take you on the ride of your life, He will do exceeding of what you expect. In every single one of us their is great promise. No matter what situation we are in there is promise for greatness, success, to stand out and to overcome. In Him we have the potential to achieve more than we could ever comprehend but it is up to us to take that potential.
She compared us to a car seat...when we fasten our seat belt we should be fastening strength and courage to ourselves so it is close to us therefore when we come in contact or crash into a problem or difficulty we have those qualites to handle it. Fasten these to yourself and it will become part of your character, part of who you are.
Trust Him completely and it will be a journey, it wont be the perfect life, it wont be free of difficulties, it wont be free of persecution but it will be the ride of your life.

We all get hurt and get into troubles wether its because of someone or your own insecurities. Its inevetible and unfortunately something that we must deal with. Some people find it hard to get through so they get drunk off their face, resort to momentary highs from drugs which in the process hurts you physically, some try to find relief from sexual acts which ends as quick as it starts, some harm themselves and even commit suicide. But the good news is THERE IS ANOTHER WAY! And it does not involve the things of this world which is temporary and unfulfilling. HE IS JESUS, HE WILL FILL EVERY EMPTY SPACE, EVERY EMPTY SOUL, EVERY EMPTY SPIRIT! HE WILL LIFT EVERY EMPTY HEART, EVERY EMPTY DREAM, EVERY EMPTY LIFE! All you have to do is ask...
One way you can deal with it is to open yourself up and tell God and/or people about it and be depressed by it and drown yourself in you own self pity which will get you nowhere. Youl be like a balloon which has no air in it, it is limp and stationary in one position, going nowhere fast. Another way you can deal with it is pretend its not there, let your pride get in the way and keep it from God and keep it from your friends. It will build up inside you and keep building and building until you burst and become worse than where you started off. Youl be a balloon that gets blown up and up and will eventually explode, still in the stationary position...OR you could be the person who cries out to God, falls back in the arms of Grace which is provided by the one and only saviour, open yourself up to God but instead of being defeated by it, do something about it. Pray and hand it over to Him so that He can handle it. Pray also for His spirit to dwell in you and empower you to overcome. You will be the balloon that is filled with helium, filled with the spirit of God lifting you from earthly problems and delivering you from the troubles or hurts you are in. You wont be in a stationary place, you will be going somewhere, lifting you out of you troubles and your hurts.
